I'm Gonna Pay For This Tomorrow

Tuesday nights I have class which means I don't get home til around 10:30PM. Since my goal is to get up at 5:30 and do my 30 minute cross train at Curves, I really should have immediately gone to bed. But did I? No. I can't go to bed with the latest Biggest Loser epidsode taunting me from my TIVO. So I stayed up and watched the entire episode. Now it is late and 5:30 seems not too far from now. And I am very tempted to set that alarm for 7:00 and just forget my goal to get my Curves workout it.

Then I remembered a post I wrote about doing things anyway, even if we don't want to. Here it is. And I just had to laugh as I read through this post and saw that in this post I mentioned another post I wrote about a similar topic - disciplining your inner child.

This is the longest I have ever kept up with any sort of journalling. And for the first time, I can really see how it helps you to notice your recurring behaviors or thought patterns...mine being that sometimes I give in too easily to the more painless choice when the going gets tough.

So tomorrow my alarm will go off at 5:30. And I am going to be tired. And I am going want to keep sleeping. But I am going to get up and I am going to exercise anyway. I'll feel better and sleep even more soundly tomorrow night for having gotten a work out in.

It is soo hard on a lack of sleep to work out. I always get tempted by good shows also.
I look forward to a post tomorrow to see if you got up.
Great job writing about it.

hope you woke up :) I was exhausted last night so when hubby put the recorded BL on for me, I told him I would have to watch it tomorrow so I could really enjoy it.......I was in bed by 10 and needed the sleep :)

Fortunately for me, I can't keep my eyes open after a certain time anymore! I just fall asleep, even at the computer... Now that I'm not drinking any caffeine, my body lets me know when I should be sleeping!

Well done on doing it anyway! I love that Martina McBride song...

So, did you get up or did you hit the snooze button?

This is my longest attempt at journaling too. I want it to affect me the way you describe here. You're giving me some hope here!

I so hope you went!

Good for you for your resolve - how did the workout go?

I LOVED those 101 Days posts, and they came at a perfect time to help me commit to "just doing it" when it comes to exercise.
